Non degree programmes for international students

The Faculty of Humanities offers three non degree programmes for exchange students: Baltic Sea Region Studies (taught in English), North American Studies (taught in English) and Finnish Language and Culture for Foreigners (taught in Finnish). Please see the links on the right for further information.

Other courses taught in English and other languages at the Faculty of Humanities

In addition to the international non degree programmes, the departments of the Faculty of Humanities sometimes offer separate courses in English or in other foreign languages. The departments of modern languages offer teaching in their target languages. In addition to lecture courses, it is sometimes possible to take examinations based on material read independently (book exams). It is also possible to earn credits by writing essays. If you are interested in these study options, please contact the relevant department.  Exchange students have also, with certain limitations, access to the lecture courses offered in the European Heritage, Digital Media and the Information Society Master's Programme. More detailed course information is available through the links on the right and on the websites of the departments.
