Research
The most important objective is to create a diversified and developing research community that transcends the boundaries of various subjects and whose organisation and methods promote research and, thereby, research-based teaching. The aim is to develop the departments in art studies into an innovative institution which encourages research, is actively involved in research, and which is known for its significant research in its areas of expertise both at the international and national level.
A working group, established in 2006, develops the research activities and has a representative from each department of the art studies community. This working group seeks to utilise the special assets of the departments and to recognise common areas of interests as the basis of development work.
