Water, Borders and Boundaries
4th Conference on Holy Places in the Baltic Sea Region May 6th - 8th 2010.
Conferences previously held in Tartu, Estonia 2007, Kernave, Lithuania 2008 and Turaida, Latvia 2009 have started a tradition of annual discussion for interdisciplinary researchers of ancient holy sites and places. The next conference will be arranged by the Department of Archaeology, University of Turku. It will take place in the research station on the island of Seili, hosted by the Archipelago Research Institute of University of Turku. Researchers from the disciplines of e.g. archaeology, folkloristics, history and comparative religion take part in the conference.
