Salem Witch Trials Documentary Archive

and Transcription Project

 

One of the aims of this large project is to publish an up-to-date scholarly edition of the legal documents related to the (in)famous witchcraft trials of Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692–1693. The new edition, entitled Records of the Salem Witch-Hunt, is forthcoming at Cambridge University Press with Bernard Rosenthal (SUNY, Binghamton) as the general editor. The associate editors are Gretchen A. Adams (Texas Tech University), Margo Burns (Manchester, NH), Peter Grund (Uppsala University), Risto Hiltunen (University of Turku), Leena Kahlas-Tarkka (University of Helsinki), Merja Kytö (Uppsala University), Matti Peikola (University of Turku), Benjamin E. Ray (University of Virginia), Matti Rissanen (University of Helsinki), and Richard B. Trask (Danvers Archival Center).
