Toukokuun 11.-12. päivänä pidetään musiikkitieteen oppiaineen ja IIPC:n (International Institute for Popular Culture) yhteistyönä tutkijatapaaminen, International Symposium on Audiovisual Performance and Embodiment. Tapahtuma järjestetään Sirkkalan Janus-salissa. Kaikki musiikkitieteen, HKT-laitoksen ja Åbo Akademin musiikkitieteen opiskelijat ovat tervetulleita osallistumaan tilaisuuteen. Keynote-puhujana symposiumissa on tunnettu populaarimusiikin tutkija professori Stan Hawkins (Oslon yliopisto), joka on kirjoittanut mm. teokset Settling the Pop Score: Pop Texts and Identity Politics ja The British Pop Dandy.
On May 11-12, the subject of musicology and the IIPC (International Institute for Popular Culture) will host the research event the International Symposium on Audiovisual Performance and Embodiment. The event will be held in the Janus lecture hall on the Sirkkala campus. All University of Turku and Åbo Academy musicology students, especially those from the Department of History, Culture and the Arts, are welcome to attend. The keynote speaker at the event is the distinguished popular music scholar Professor Stan Hawkins, author of the books Settling the Pop Score: Pop Texts and Identity Politics and The British Pop Dandy.
