I work at the multidisciplinary research project CORECO (Corporate Environmental Responsibility and the Ecosystem Approach). The CORECO project is a joint project of University of Turku and Turku School of Economics and it is funded by the Academy of Finland. The project aims to identify and systematise the cultural and biological connections of environmental responsibility. The project is lead by docent Matti Kamppinen.
As a researcher I am interested in phenomena and people relating to entrepreneurship and religiosity. I studied the relationship between entrepreneurship and religiosity in my Master’s thesis and now the concern is widened to include also the concept of corporate responsibility. My role at the CORECO project is to study the cultural resources and the concepts of responsibility in the context of small business. How do cultural resources shape the entrepreneurs’ concepts of responsibility, and do they motivate small businesses to operate in a responsible way?
I used to work at the Turku Employment Office at the department of International Services and thus I am interested in immigrant issues. As a part of the CORECO project I am currently working on a report about immigrant entrepreneurs.
